Darlene “Granny” Imogene Murphy passed away August 4, 2026 at her home in Fayetteville, AR. Darlene was the eldest of four children born to Lafe RQ and Mildred Beatrice Pearce in Loma Linda, CA on November 6, 1932. She eventually moved to Cave Springs where she graduated from high school in 1951. She retired from Food Handlers Union Local 425.

Darlene in preceded in death by her parents; husband Norman Murphy; sisters, Janet Marshall and Geraldine Capps; and son Steve Boger.

Darlene enjoyed bowling, being an “AVON lady”, cold beer with friends, The Beer Keg, Beaver Lake, and the Razorbacks. Darlene was known to have a sharp and witty sense of humor and always did it her way. She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed.

Darlene is survived by her longtime partner Doyle Shelton; her beloved sister Betty and John Ross of Siloam Springs, AR; her devoted children, Charles and Carol Boger of Fayetteville, AR, Tammy Jo Boger and Doug Caler of Springdale, AR, Rick and Pam Boger of Potomac, MD, and Judy and Dan Morgan of Fayetteville, AR, sister-in-law Margaret Murphy; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many friends that claimed her as Granny.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Round Mountain Cemetery in Fayetteville.
