Don R. Gibson, 73 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Fayetteville.  He was born July 1, 1938 in Baldwin the son of George and Oved Smith Gibson. He was a lifelong Basket Maker, member of College Avenue Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, son, Timothy Gibson, grandson, Hayden Gibson, great-grandson, Chandler Gibson, 2-brothers, Harvey and Howard Gibson, 3- sisters, Juanita Nakai, Thelma Turner, and Virginia Gibson.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Gibson to whom he married in 1958; 2-sons, Terry Gibson and wife, Bonnie of Fayetteville, Joey Gibson and wife, Mellisa of Rogers; 1-brother, Earl Gibson of Elkins; 2-granddaughters; 1-grandson; 2-step-grandsons; 2-great-grandchildren;6-step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with David Dotson officiating. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery.
