Dorce P. Nelson, 83, of West Fork died Monday, September 1, 2014 at the V.A. Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born June 16, 1931 in Lone Grove, OK. to Marvin and Ethel Nelson.
He was an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War; an iron worker by trade; a member of the Iron Workers Union; and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include 3 sons, Leland Nelson of Witter, Melvin Pointer of Farmington and Mike Parks of West Fork; 3 daughters, Donna Humphries of Fayetteville, and Deborah Nelson and Diane Bogert both of West Fork; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor Roger Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends at 9:00 A.M. until service-time on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
