Douglas L. Allen, 68, husband of the late Claudette Allen passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 in Springdale, Arkansas.
Born September 6, 1949 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Harry and Barbara Hills-Allen.
Doug was plasterer for 40+ years. He grew-up in California. He was an amazing man who loved his family. Doug enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his brothers, Wayne Allen, Bup Allen and Gary Allen; sister, Barbara; his children, Derrick Cochran, Scot Cochran and Monique Standifer; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

I met Doug about 1962 through his brothers Bup and Wayne, whom i attended school with.
My brothers Paul and Gary and Doug and his brothers had many years of great times doing
just about everything together. Best times of our lives. He lived his life his way and that is not a small thing. He will be missed. I wish all of his family and friends well in their loss.
Charlie.
In 1962, when I met Doug, I was 10 years old. It was love at first sight. He was my dearest, closest friend for many years and I’m feeling a great loss, as I’m sure all who knew him are. Yes, some of the best times of my life were spent with Doug and my brothers Paul and Gary hunting, camping, rock climbing, four-wheeling (usually on 2 wheels), listening to country music and drinking. I had the pleasure of knowing his family also–what a great bunch! Best wishes to all of you in your time of sorrow.
