Dwight Franklin Hatcher, 76, of Hindsville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 in Springdale.  He was born August 18, 1945 in Omaha, NE to Dwight Lindell and Norma Gwendolyn Hineline Hatcher.

He was owner/operator of Fayetteville Transmission.  Dwight enjoyed hanging-out with his automotive friends.  Most of all, he loved being with his family.

Dwight is survived by his wife Johnnie Ammons Hatcher to whom he married December 12, 1978; five sons, Dwight Roland Hatcher, Benjamin Franklin Hatcher, Michael Hatcher, Ronald Hatcher, all of Fayetteville and Robert John Hatcher of Hindsville; a daughter Frankie M. Hickman and her husband James of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Cynthia LeBow of Denison, TX and Donna Franklin of Hindsville; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Beard’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 24, 2021 at Beard’s Chapel with Chaplain Chuck Bengtson officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

    He was the best. I rented space from him and Johnnie at the transmission shop. It was so much fun to go back there and visit because everyone was really so nice.
    He was always always so forgiving of the rent not on time. Just great. In retrospect, I have nothing but love . I know the immediate family will miss him. ♥️

    Johnnie on behalf of our family I want to send our condolences to you and your family for your loss of Dwight. our father Jimmy Olinger worked at midway Transmission for many years before he passed away in 1999,our parents thought the world you and Dwight.
