Dwight O’Neal, 70, of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at his home. He was born November 1, 1953 in Fayetteville to Chester and Wilma O’Neal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Connie.
Dwight was owner/operator of Dwight’s Material Handling (DMH). He was devoted to his family and loved by his community. He loved his children, grandkids, great-grandchildren, and his great-great-grandchild.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Shadrick and husband Curtis of Wesley, Jan Johnson of Wesley, and Brian O’Neal of Elkins; a brother Billy Don O’Neal of Springdale; 7 grandchildren, Sammie King, Jessica Jett, Bradley Baker, Derek Gardner, Preston O’Neal, Khloie O’Neal, and Chace O’Neal; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Beard’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 29, 2024 at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor Mike Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd, Springdale, AR 72762.
Known this man most of my life. Heck of a good guy. Thoughts be with the family.

So sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing him when he would come to get his hair cut and beard trimmed. The community lost a great asset when we lost Dwight.

Dwight was an ever present good neighbor, and a mentor to the younger generation of kids that grew up with his. We liked to take him a batch of our home grown tomatoes. He liked those. He will be missed greatly.
