Edward James Strack, 80, of Fayetteville, AR. formerly of Manning, SC, died April 9, 2017 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born March 3, 1937 in Cortland, N.Y. to James Louis and Anna Knolls Strack. He retired from Eastman Kodak.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Kelly Strack of the home; one son, Matthew Strack ( Susan) of Horseheads, NY; one daughter, Susan Thielman (Andrew) of Fayetteville, AR; one sister, Janice Talbot (John) of Macedon, NY; and 8 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Ridgeview Baptist Church with Pastor Al Gebauer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgeview Baptist Church, 1850 E. Huntsville Rd, Fayetteville, AR. 72701 or to the Potter’s House, P.O. Box 3014, Fayetteville, AR. 72702.
Sheila, so sorry for your loss. Enjoyed knowing you and Ed while you lived at Wyboo. Your an inspiration to me with all that you did for church and community, and taking care of Ed. May his soul rest in peace.

Sheila… sad to hear of Ed’s passing. Without all the cliches regarding losing a loved one, we celebrate and remember Ed in his “better days”. We pray that God will send you all the great memories and blessings you and your family remember of your loved one.
The Wake
At a wake the other day,
I said goodbye to a friend,

And trying to overcome our fears.
It’s the friends that we gather,
Along the course of our earthly road,
Those who lovingly care,
And who unselfishly ease our load.
Truly treasures are these,
Ever so distressing to bereave,
To say goodbye for now,
As this their mortal path they leave
But, we, as God’s children,
Are bound by his celestial design,
To serve each others needs.
As our corporal legacy we define.
While here we build upon grace,
And anticipate reunion,

So sorry to hear of Ed’s death. We know that just as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection,
we can also celebrate Ed’s resurrection, as we know that Ed & you loved Jesus. David & I were
certainly honored when Ed stood as best man for David during our wedding almost 13 years ago.
What a joy it was to know Ed during your time at Wyboo. We send our love and prayers to you

Ed was one of my most favorite patients, and your sweet spirit and strength (and amazing ham salad) are something I will never forget. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have met you both. Sheila, For some ironic reason, I (Don) was thinking about you and Ed today and did a search on the internet only to find this announcement about Ed’s passing! We are so very sorry about this news and certainly do send our condolences to you and family. There are so many unforgettable memories we have sharing time with you both, here in Bristol and Holden Beach. We always held you two dear in hearts and always will.
