Harland Palmer Johnson, Jr, 80, of Elkins passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 in Fayetteville.  He was born November 1, 1938 in Detroit, MI to Harland and Anna Panula Johnson, Sr.

Harland was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Anna Mae Mason, Deloris Johnson and Margaret Putich Fricke.

He was a retired Army veteran having served 23 years.  Harland moved to Elkins from Pueblo, CO in 2000.  He worked for J.B. Hunt Trucking for 14 years.

Harland is survived by his wife, Patsy Lewis Johnson of the home; two daughters, Michele Bouldin of Fowler, CO and Sheryl House of Wichita, KS; two granddaughters, Avery and Kiley Bouldin of Fowler, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2019 at Beard’s Chapel with Johnny Wayne Norris officiating.  Interment will follow in Nickell Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.
