Herman Salsbury, 85, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018.  He was born January 30, 1933 in Hicks, AR. to Vernon and Neva Maguire Salsbury.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Uvalde during the Korean War.  Herman was a retired farmer and a member of Black Oak Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter, Kim Pendergraft; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Miller (Jason), Justin Pendergraft (Lori) and Jarrod Pendergraft (Melanie); 4 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine Miller and Isaac and Hannah Pendergraft; as well as many cousins and one uncle, John Maguire.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel with Eric Howerton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until service-time on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons, Voice of the Martyrs or the American Cancer Society.
