We are saddened to hear of the passing of our eldest first cousin, “Junior” as we affectionately knew him, but “we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:6, KJV) May Junior’s soul forever rest in peace. We pray that the family finds solace in knowing his life was well-lived, and we hope you realize that “those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.” May pleasant memories of Junior’s life sustain and lift you from your sorrow. The McClain Family, Evelyn Faye, Frances, Michael Lineal, and Leslie, extend our deepest sympathy to the entire Porter Family.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of such a good and decent man. I remember my 1st introduction to Mr. Porter was one summer day in 2013 when he called the campus police for some suspicious activity by the farm.
He introduced himself as Mr. Porter and I responded with I’m Officer Porter, the pleasure is mine.

Thinking and praying for you all. I’ll always remember you guys as a strong, loving and God fearing family made of good stock (Mr. and Mrs.Porter). So keep that foundation and continue to know God will see you through. Your extended family from Monroe may have scattered around the states but we come together to say we love you. The distance does not diminish the grief we share with you. We all extend our hands toward you in blessings. May the peace of the Lord be with you. As Madear (Mrs. Brown) would say, Loving you all infinity and beyond. The Brown Family (Willie, Patricia, Emmanuel, Louis, Joe and Pamela and Madear)

I worked with Isaiah at the University farms for a number of years. He was a fine man and through his job was a part of the team that kept our program running.I wanted to be there to say a ‘well-done’ to him but went to Moore’s instead of Beards. To all the family (Lynn, I still think of you working to establish the Altheimer library!), my condolences and prayers to lighten your grief. He looks down, now, on a very fine family. m
