Ivory Joseph Simon, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 in Fayetteville. He was born July 22, 1941 in Ville Platte, LA. to Pierre and Octavia Simon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and 1 grandson.
Ivory worked and trained horses all his life. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and listening to Zydeco music. He was a member of Combs Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by two daughters, Romona West and Sarah Simon; six sons, Lawrence, Grifford, Antoine, Richard, Joseph and Joe Simon; two stepchildren, Shranell Rodriguez and James Wilks; three brothers, Navis, Joshua and Patrick Simon; one sister, Barbara Marshall; 25 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Combs Street Church of Christ.
