Jimmy Dearing was my cousin ~ seemingly shy but funny, somewhat quiet, sweet, kind & caring.
There are many of us cousins on his mother’s side (our late Aunt Mary Dearing) living in different states (AR, OK, FL, AL, TX & CA), who, even though we don’t see each other frequently, we always loved and cared about each other. My family & I are sad about Jimmy’s untimely passing, and our hearts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s widow Susan, his sons David & Brandon, his sister (our cousin) Liz Watson, and his sister-in-law Lou Dearing, and their families. We pray GOD’s loving presence surrounds them with HIS love & comforts them during this time and onward.

    Susan and Jimmy’s extended family.
We are extremely shocked and saddened to read of Jimmy’s death in today’s paper. The last time we saw him he was looking good and was talking and laughing as usual. He was a jolly fellow for sure
He and Carl worked together at Standard Register for all the years that Jimmy worked there ( Carl was there when Jimmy came). He said this morning that he always enjoyed working with Jimmy and enjoyed the times when Jimmy came by our house to bring us up to date on happenings at the plant and news of old friends. He will be sorely missed. Carl has talked to some of the other employees this morning and they all feel the same.
May God give you comfort and peace at this difficult time.

Susan, Liz and Family. Words are inadequate to express the love I have for your family. I am truly heartbroken with you. Jimmy was a great man with a kind and humble soul. He was quiet but could also be so funny. I’ve heard some amazing stories about his life and he was loved by all. Praying for peace and comfort as you face the days ahead. Love to all.

The Dearing family have been my friends since the 50’s and Jimmy had to put up with me and his older Brother, Clinton. We, being a little older, often gave him advice that he never needed. Jimmy was around 15 yrs. old when I first met him; He was indeed a good man and a good friend . He always greeted me with his broad smile that will be missed by many folks. I am unable to attend his service, due to out of town travel, but my thoughts and prayers are with all of his family. John Paul

1 God is our strong refuge; he is truly our helper in times of trouble.
2 For this reason we do not fear when the earth shakes, and the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea,
3 when its waves crash and foam, and the mountains shake before the surging sea.

Susan I pray you find peace and comfort in the arms of Jesus. I want to be there to give you a hug but I’m on call, so please accept my condolences for now and please call or text if you need anything.

Jim was a good friend at Standard Register for many years. We played golf, worked, & had good times with Jim over the years. He, Carl Couch, & Pam ran a tight ship in the shipping department. I will remember Jim. He was quiet by nature. He was always smiling. A good man.
