James Frank (Bob) Conner, 83, of Fayetteville, died September 26, 2021. He was born July 23, 1938 in Etowah, TN to Grady and Minnie Rudder Conner.

James retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and later retired from Labarge Electronics. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Razorback and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife Rita who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Conner and Billy Conner.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Conner (Sonja) of Bentonville, AR and Randy Conner of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Robin West (Joe) of Nashville, TN; sister, Elizabeth Colley of Salt Lake City, UT; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.

    So saddened by this, I have known Jim and Rita for many years, I was one of Jim’s QA girls from 1979 until he retired from LaBarge, he was a boss and friend and will be missed. I salute Jim for his service.

    So sorry kids for the lost of your dad..he was a very good man to his family..I never knew that was his name..always thought it was Robert..I wish harrianne and I could come but health reasons will not let that happen..just know we r thinking about you all with lots of love..Nancy
