James Kendall Carter, 85, of Greenland, died March 19, 2015 at Westwood Health & Rehab in Springdale. He was born November 10, 1929 in Greenland to James Rosco and Gladys Rutherford Carter. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the oil industry. James was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed life, friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Lee Carter.

He is survived by two sons, James K. Carter, Jr. of Virginia; and Vol Roland Carter of California;  two brothers, Jack Carter of Prairie Grove; and John Carter of Farmington.

Memorial graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Baptist Ford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, Arkansas 72762.

Cremation arrangements  by Beard’s Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Fayetteville.

    So sorry and saddened by the news of the death of Kendall and of Chub whom I did not know had passed. They were always good friends to us and very friendly to me every time I saw them, had some very good parties and dinners at their house and at the Farley’s (Donna’s and Gary’s). Will remember those good times always and the stories that Kendall told of hunting and fishing. He will be missed and was a heck of a dancer.
