This young man would come and visit the children with Developmental Disabilities at Fayetteville high school. He was very sweet and respectful with the children. The kids enjoyed him eating lunch with them, as well as playing games. He did these tasks with gladness and singleness of heart. His kindness will be missed, however it will never be forgotten.

I was a good friend of Jareds. I was on his baseball team when his father helped coach, his football team, and wrestling team. I also had him in many classes since middle school. He was naturally athletic, and he was a smart, good looking kid. I had a lot of good memories with him. I’m sorry to hear about this, my prayers go out to y’all.

I have this great picture of Jared and I, on the first day of kindergarten – both of us wearing way too much denim. In the picture he has the goofiest smile on his face. That’s how I will always remember him: kind, silly, always generous, and immensely caring. I am so blessed to have grown up with Jared. My family and I are sending prayers your way.
Our family knew Jared very well.
He was one of our son’s best friends and spent a lot of time

I love you with all my heart and I will be praying for you everyday. Jared will always be in my heart and I will forever remember how sweet he was to Veronica. Jared was one of my best friends from Jr high to high school.. Always did everything he could to make others laugh.. Always put a smile on my face when we had classes together and even in between. He was a beautiful soul that’s for sure.. I was heartbroken to hear the news and my heart goes out to the family and everyone else who knew Jared personally. He was a bright light in everyone’s world. RIP darling, can’t wait to see you again one day! Watch over your family and the rest of us. <3
Sorry to hear of your loss. Sad to hear of his life cut so short. Prayers to the family for strength and comfort to come soon.
As a Senior at FHS, Jared helped get my day off to a good start for an entire school year. We talked music and football and cars. Sometimes we even talked literature because that was the subject of my class. He was occasionally late, but I never minded (and he knew this) because it was always good to see him–as it was always good to see him behind the counter at Richard’s since he graduated. There was a blessing in him and everybody felt it. That he will be missed–and missed terribly–is surely a fact. That he is now with us always in another way is no less so.
So sorry for your loss to Jared’s family. You are in my prayers. May God’s love fill your hearts and comfort you.
Martha, may God surround you with love and support. I cannot imagine any greater loss. I know he was the light of your life. My heart breaks for you. Prayers sent up for entire family.
So very sorry for your loss. I pray that you and your family will find peace in this very difficult time.
Jareds Family: I have taught school for 29 years and once in a while you come across a student who has all of the qualities you want to see in a young person. As a Agriculture teacher and a FFA Advisor your son Jared is a the top of the list as leader and hard worker. When Richard’s Meat market called me looking for good students to work for them Jared was the first student I thought of. My daughter was in many of his classes and a FFA Officer with Jared and also worked with Jared at the meat market. She is in college at UCA and is driving up here for the visitation. Your son had a wonderful effect on all of those who knew him. Thank you for sharing him with me and I want you to know I will remeber him always. My sincere regrets: Bill Laney Ag. teacher FHS.
My heart is so full of tears for your loss. Praying for Gods comfort to surround you.
Jared was one of my favorite students ever. I got to know him through 3 years of high school ag classes and as an FFA member and officer. He was caring, thoughtful, and one of the hardest workers I have ever met. Jared was mature beyond his years and we could carry on conversations that many adults could not. I always looked forward to seeing him and was so proud to see him become a young man. My prayers go out to you and your family on this loss.
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Let me know if we can do anything at all. Jared was a great young man. We will always remember him living right down the road and all the children gathering. He was a great friend to Lauren. He will be missed.
Martha and family, so very sorry to hear of your son. My prayers to you.
We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Let us know if we can do anything for you all. May God give you comfort during this time. Jared was a great young man. He will be missed.- Chuck, Penny, Lauren and Lainey
Jared had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. He was so incredibly talented in whatever he did. It didn’t matter who you were, he always made you feel comfortable. I had several classes with him throughout high school and enjoyed watching him perform in Surf De Soleil. He definitely has impacted the lives of very many people. It’s absolutely heartbreaking that he is gone, my heart goes out to family and close friends. R.I.P. Jared, you will be greatly greatly missed.
I really enjoyed getting to know Jared at school and watching him play the bass guitar. He was a talented young man and I will miss seeing him. The Rimmer family is praying for your family that God will give you the peace that passes all understanding.
We knew Jared as one of our daughter, Ashlyn’s, best friends. He was one of the most polite and respectful young men we have ever met. He was so talented and a hard worker, always willing to help out a friend or even their parent. He had a kind soul and great smile. We are heartbroken for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
We were very sorry to hear about Jared. We will keep him in our prayers as well as you both.

I send out my prayers to the Thompson family. I knew Jared from junior high school at Woodland. He was always in a good mood and carries positive energy with him and to everyone he was in contact with. I had a few classes with him and he always knew how to make me and others laugh. I wish I could make it to the funeral, but I currently reside in Pennsylvania and can’t make it.
He will be a wonderful addition to Heaven and one day we will all meet again.
I am truly sorry for the loss and the hardships the facing is facing right now.
Fly high in the sky with the Angels and watch over us!
I am so sorry for your loss. Your family has been in my thoughts and prayers.
Jared was in my homeroom class in 7th grade. He was a great kid! I saw leadership potential in Jared. I was honored and excited to nominate him for the leadership academy in DC. I enjoyed getting to know Jared as a young man. I’m sure that he will be truly missed by those who knew him well.
I think of Jared every school year. There are just some former students that stand out so strongly that you will never forget them. Jared is one of those. Such a kind, sweet-spirit, even at eleven years old. He was a hard worker, always gave his best, and was never in too big a rush to help others or offer to lend me a hand. He loved the Lord, even at such a young age and was never ashamed to share his faith. He loved his family and spoke often of you. I know you will miss him so much, especially in the coming holiday season. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May it give you some peace to know you’ll be with him again one day.
Dear Martha and Scott,
Words cannot express the heart break I felt when my mom gave me the bad news. I am so very sorry for your loss. Even though I was not very close to Jared as I would have liked, I always think him as my sister’a very first crush when we came to the states. and for that he occupies a very special space in my heart. He always had that beautiful smile on his face that transmitted happiness to everyone around him. I cannot imagine what your family is going through, but please know that Zulema, Ali and I have you and your family in our prayers. Your sweet Jared will always be loved and very much missed.
I’ve only known Jared from music and didn’t say but a handful of words I imagine, but I always loved watching him perform because he loved what he did and showed such a passion. it has been amazing watching the strength of his sweet wonderful friends, and how supportive everyone has been-they are truly wiser beyond their youth and it’s peaceful to know that jared surrounded himself with such like-minds. he will always be in our hearts one way or another, and memories/legends never die.
Martha and Scott – I’m so sorry for your loss. This really stinks. All my love – Amy

Martha and Scott,
I feel so blessed to have had your son as part of my family the last three years. He was truly such a joy. He was also a gentleman. He opened every door, he would bring in my groceries, he was always the first one to clear the table, and ask what else can I do? Gratitude was one of his greatest gifts. No matter how small, he thanked me numerous times. That always meant so much to me. I know he is in heaven, and I know he will be watching over all of us. I will think of him and miss him for the rest of my days. One day I will see that sweet face again. Ashton loved him so very much and so did we.
All my love and prayers to you both, Jessica
