I will always remember being a very young girl maybe first grade at Greenland Elementary. We were having our yearly Halloween Carnival, each class chose a boy and girl to represent their class at the festival the class who raised the most money during the week would be the King & Queen of the Carnival. I of course went to Uncle Jarrell asking for pennies (each penny was a vote paper money would not work :). He kept telling me he did not have any money with that look, half smile – half frown looking gruff. True to his playful nature the next morning I woke up and he had taken one of my shoes and filled it completely full of pennies. Love you Uncle Jarrell

A sad day for me but a great day for Jarrell. He is no longer suffering and is in the company of family and friends that went before him.
Jarrell and his first wife and my wife and I had many, many good times together watching Razorback basketball in old Barnhill Arena. We also attended many SWC tournaments in Reunion Arena in Dallas together.
We also enjoyed many years of Hogball in Bud Walton Arena with him and Michelle.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our prayers are with Michelle and family as they grieve his passing.

My heart is heavy with sadness, however, my dear son-in-love, at the same time, I am happy you are now free of pain. You served us well and spoiled us, too. From the time you came into our family, Bill and I knew our girls, Michelle and Misha were being taken care of and we could quit fretting about their care. You listened to the Tucker stories, laughed with us and cried with us ( yes, I saw you cry a few times, even though you wanted us to think you were gruff at times, but you were a gentle, loving soul.). After Bill died, you did everything you could to help all of us adjust and make a new normal. That couldn’t have been easy, cause you loved and missed him, too. You were ready to complete the ‘to do’ list when you all came to Georgia for a visit. You cut many special size pieces of wood for my chimnea, even after you were sick, cause you knew how much I enjoyed it. I will miss our chats and texts about the latest sports happenings. And seeing you in the recliner with the remote. When I came to visit, you made sure I had the foods that I especially liked. You took me to the bookstores, knowing how much I liked to read. We, three, you, Michelle and I, learned to do enjoyable and fun things together. I am going to miss all, this, but I will always have you in my heart and appreciate what you gave the Tucker family. I am going to come see you one day. You and Bill be waiting at the gate for me.
