Jeff was a great guy. He was very knowledgeable about science, history, and culture and he could be philosophical, too.
Top that off with a great sense of humor and you have the kind of person that the world could sure use more of.

Lisa, George, Steve, and the rest of the Savage family, you have our heartfelt sympathy and condolences in regards to your recent loss of Jeff, husband and brother. Jeff was not only a confidante, sometime advisor and counselor, a great conversationalist, but he was mostly just my friend for 52 years. I can cut back to the very night in 1974 when I first met Jeff and he talked me into skydiving, which I pursued in earnest for the next 12+ years or so. Though many miles separated us, we continued to communicate on a regular basis and sometimes talked for hours, as if we were in the same room. The profound sense of sadness, loss, and grief I have felt these past few days cannot be put into words or emphasized enough. He was my brother too. I loved the man and will forever miss Jeff, but not forget him. I have memories though, and they are all very happy memories. We had our adventures for sure! I could go on. Just know Jeff, I will see you again. God Bless you and your family. So long, for now brother.
