Jerry Dale Bailey of Winslow, AR, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the age of 87 years and one day. He was born at home in Johnson, AR during a winter storm on January 23, 1939 to John Bailey and Prella Mae (Curtis) Bailey. He lived for God, family, and country. He was known for his joking and playful nature after the work was complete. He left his artistic mark wherever he went and his enduring love was felt by many. He will be deeply missed.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, siblings; and a great-grandchild.

He is survived by his children, Pam Hutchens and husband Troy of Summers, AR, John K. Bailey of Fayetteville, AR, Gwyn Gregory and her husband Rick of Winslow, AR, and David Bailey and his wife Lavonne of Winslow, AR. He also had the pleasure to be called “Papa” by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Brentwood Cemetery and all who are able and wish to attend are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, Winslow Community Meals, or an equine program such as Warhorse Legacy Foundation or Shepherd Mountain Rescue (which would honor Jerry’s interests and compassion).
