Reddell, Jewell PicJewell Reddell, 88, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at a rehabilitation center.  He was born July 25, 1927 in Newton County, AR. to John and Verlie Reddell.

He was a longtime member of the Mt. Comfort Church of Christ and was loved by his many church friends.  He was a longtime member of the Sequoyah Kiwanis Club, serving as treasurer for many years.  He served in the Army, Air Force and National Guard serving in Germany in WWII.  Jewell taught school after the military.  He worked in chemical plants in Kansas and Florida for many years working at Cape Canaveral in Florida.  He made Fayetteville his home in 1967.  He was a Co-Op Credit Manager and managed the Washington Water Authority until he retired.

Jewell was preceded in death by his parents, John and Verlie Reddell; a brother, Ted Reddell; and his loving wife, Freda for 63 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Guido and husband, Joe of Fayetteville; a son, Lendell Reddell of Washington State; a son, Marlin Reddell of Fayetteville; 4 brothers, Reno of Western Grove, Jim of Valley Springs, Quenton and Denton Reddell, both of Harrison; 2 sisters, Dean Jurek of Kearney, MO. and Jean Gregory of Harrison; 8 grandchildren;  and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was so kind hearted and loved by so many.  He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ with Gaylon Lamb officiating.  Interment will follow in the Round Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

The family will receive friends at Beard’s Chapel from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, April 22, 2016.
