John “Paul” Gunnell, 92, of Stuttgart, AR passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 in Rogers, AR. He was born May 18, 1931 in DeWitt, AR to Andrew Jackson and Ellen Grace Gean Gunnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Mildred Mann; and two brothers Billy and Charles Gunnell.
Paul was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He liked to hunt, fish and was a gentleman farmer. Paul was an amateur beekeeper. He spent his working life in Chicago working for All American Life and Casualty until he retired as a vice president.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Martha Stanek Gunnell; a son, Russ Gunnell and wife Andrea of Fayetteville, AR; two grandchildren, Pierson and Julia Gunnell of Fayetteville; two brothers, Alvin and Larry Gunnell; and four sisters, Betty Gean, Dorothy, GiGi and Nancy.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2023 at Shiloh Cemetery in Stuttgart, AR with military honors under the direction of Beard’s Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville, AR.
