Joy Mabel Lance, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born September 18, 1947 in Clare, Michigan to Virgil and Mabel Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Wilcox and husband, Cory; a son, Robert Lockwood and wife, Genevive; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Her passion was mowing her lawn and cooking. She loved to cook meals and take to church services on Wednesday nights and Sundays. Her love for Jesus was her life and she witnessed to everyone she could. She was a dedicated member of the Inside Out Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Inside Out Church located on Wedington Drive at 1: 00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018.
We will miss her for now, but will see her again someday.
