Joyce Irene Spillman, 78, and a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Farmington, Arkansas and in the presence of her loving family.
She was born March 30, 1943 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Teman Knight, Sr. and Yvonne Elizabeth (Picard) Knight.
Joyce was a devoted homemaker and amazing heirloom seamstress, a graduate of Bogalusa High School, and a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Mildred Jenkins and Sarah Hunt.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Jerry Everette Spillman; a brother Teman Knight, Jr. and wife Brenda Knight of Montgomery, Alabama; a sister Mary Ewell of Bogalusa, Louisiana; a daughter Michelle Hover and husband Dr. Tom Hover of Farmington, Arkansas; a son Jerry David Spillman and wife Sherri Spillman of Bogalusa, Louisiana; three granddaughters, Kelly Combs and husband Jason Combs; Mindy Foster and husband Kyle Foster; and Shannon Barrett and husband Tyler Barrett all of Farmington, Arkansas; two grandsons, Aaron Spillman and wife Shyanne Spillman and Cole Spillman of Bogalusa, Louisiana; and ten great-grandchildren: Abianne Combs, Laney Combs, Evie Combs, Micah Foster, Kenzie Foster, Ellie Foster, Bright Foster, Maverick Barrett, Colt Barrett, Bentley Barrett, and soon to be born Jett Barrett all of Farmington, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Farmington, Arkansas with Dr. Tom Hover officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa, Louisiana with Dr. Tom Hover officiating.

I am so sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was the sweetest lady. I owned a sewing store in Hattiesburg and she came over and visited many times. I enjoyed talking with her and she will be missed. God bless your family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
