June Sophia Warford, 84, of Elkins, AR, passed peacefully surrounded by family on October 23, 2024. She was born July 25, 1940 in Ransom, IL to Walter and Johanna Benckendorf.

She was preceded in death by both parents.

She was a loving and caring mother who devoted her life to her family. She was a mother, grandmother, or a friend to anyone she met. June always gave unconditional love, grace and words of wisdom. She had a generous heart and helped anyone in need. June was a beacon of light for many, all the way to the end.

June had many hobbies including architectural design and a passion for collecting cookbooks. She enjoyed watching westerns, shopping and traveling. She demonstrated a strong work ethic. June was avid about farming.

Survivors include 5 daughters, Cynthia Barrile-Josephson of Prairie Grove, AR, Andrea Barrile of Brockport, NY, Julie Rhodes of Hogeye, AR, Jeanettie Warford Kimes of Elkins, AR, and Jacquline Warford of Elkins, AR; 2 sons, Johnny Rhodes of Farmington, AR and James Rhodes of Arizona; grandchildren, Hunter and Eden Rhodes (Oakley and Case), Bennett Josephson (Himika), Cynthia and Hunter Campbell (Mackenzie and Emmarie), William and Amy Kimes (Liam), and Walter Kimes; and many other grand and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2024 at McCord Cemetery.

There is no scheduled visitation.
