Kennard Authur Hart, 85, of Elkins passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at his home. He was born February 4, 1931 in Waterloo, Iowa to Arthur and Ada Dodd Hart.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and a member of the Purple Heart Chapter. Kennard was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cross Baptist Church in Crosses.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Lennard and Kenny Hart; son-in-law, Tom Lundstrom; and 3 grandchildren.
Kennard is survived by his children, Karen Kelly and husband, Terry, Timmy Hart and wife, Margaret, Teresa Hawkins and husband, Troy, Sr, Krisanne Eubanks, Kennard Hart, Jr. and wife, Shelan, Brian Hart, Margaret Hart, Lisa Sorrell and husband, David, Cheryl Hart and Mary Lundstrom; 32 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 19, 2016 at Beard’s Chapel. Interment will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the funeral home.
