Larry Brian Kennan, age 76, of Elkins, joined the angels in Heaven on Thursday, February 20, 2020 after his fight with lung cancer.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Kennan; father, Carl Kennan; step-mother, Marie Kennan; mother, Betty Dickenson; and brother, Jack Kennan.

Larry is survived by his four loving daughters and their spouses, Maria and Jimmy Bates, Patsy and Johnny Smith, Cathy and David Murphy and Brenda Kennan Krause; two brothers, Edward and Tommy Kennan; one step-brother and his wife, Kenneth and Martha Brown; two step-sisters, Helen Logue and Muriel Tuck; several loved aunts and uncles; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Dad you will always be in our hearts until we are beside you and Mom again.

Cremation arrangements by Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Elkins Food Bank, Elkins F.F.A. or the Elkins Meals on Wheels in memory of Larry and Barbara Kennan (hard-working farmers of Elkins).

    We are so sorry to learn about Larry’s passing. He and Barbara were great neighbors of ours for many
    years. We can still remember seeing Larry driving his tractor down Highway 74 and Barbara following
    in their pickup truck. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
