Lloyd Shackelford, 86, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Springdale. He was born January 27, 1927 in Brentwood the son of Mort and Nettie Hayre Shackelford. He was a member of the Pentecostal Faith, served in the United States Army during World War II, worked for the University of Arkansas, owned and operated Shackelford’s Garage, worked for Bruce Terminix.
Preceded in death by his parents, 2~brothers, 6~sisters and 1~step-daughter, Linda Feltner, 1~great-grandson, Christopher Bates.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Simmons Shackelford of the home; 1~son, Donald Shackelford and wife, Tammy of Combs; 2~daughters, Connie Boles and husband, Giel of Colorado Springs, CO and Sharon Bates and husband, Donald of Elkins; 2~step-daughters, Karen Foshe and husband, Jackie of West Fork and Susan Bottoms and husband, Earl of Birchtree, MO; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2013 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Foshe officiating. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5~7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

I was sorry to hear of Lloyd’s passing. He will be missed by all. My condolences to the entire family.
