Loy Edward Mashburn, born in Haskell, Oklahoma on January 21, 1931, passed away October 10, 2016 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 85.
Loy was a 20 year retiree from the United States Army and was employed for 25 years as a cross-country truck driver at Willis Shaw Express.
He is survived by son David Mashburn and wife, Louise of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter, Beth Dillard and husband, John of Springdale, Arkansas; son, Mark Mashburn and wife, Gaile of North Palm Beach, Florida; and daughter, Rebecca Mashburn of Farmington, Arkansas; a sister, Lenora Hobbs of Foley, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Susie Mashburn of Ozark, Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Saturday, October 22, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Jasper Hankins and Donald Brannan.

I was saddened to hear of Loy’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him for several years at Willis Shaw. He was among our best drivers and owner operators. Loy was a true gentleman on and off the road. My thoughts and prayers are with family and his many friends. Alan Roller
