Lt. Henry Donald Mitchell, December 17, 1921~July 8, 1944

A celebration of life service honoring the life of Lt. Henry Donald Mitchell will be 9:30 AM Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Beard’s Chapel.

Inurnment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full military honors.

Lt. Mitchell, U.S. Army, was a World War II Fighter Pilot (Lockheed P-38 Lightning) from Arkansas who crashed in Austria in 1944. He was shot down during a mission with the 48th Fighter Squadron. His remains were recently identified by the Department of Defense.
