In Loving Memory of Lucy Evelyne Parker

Lucy Evelyne Parker, 85, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on October 21, 2026.

Lucy was a loving, strong, and independent woman who lived life in her own way. She had a generous heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a stubborn streak that was simply part of who she was. She was never afraid to stand her ground, and those who knew her understood that she had a mind of her own.

Throughout her life, Lucy worked as a school bus driver, a job that became part of her life’s story. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and occasionally enjoyed trying her luck at the slot machines. She had a personality all her own, and her strength, humor, and independent spirit helped define the woman she was.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Allen Parker; her parents, Lucy and Joe Drummond; her brothers, Louie Drummond, Bill Drummond, J.D. Drummond, and Vernon Drummond; and her sisters, Shirley Bernett and Christine Edwards.

She is survived by her children, Karla Reedy, Glenn Marston, and Julie Roark; her brother, Teddy Drummond; and her sister, Della Downum, along with family members and loved ones who will carry her memory forward.

Lucy will be remembered for her loving heart, generous nature, quick wit, and determination. She was a woman who lived life on her own terms, and her strength and spirit will not be forgotten.

Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Her life was uniquely her own, and she will always hold a special place in the lives of her family.

Rest peacefully, Lucy. You will be loved and remembered always.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2026 at Bidville Cemetery.

There is no scheduled visitation.
