Marie “Topie” Garrett, November 29, 1941~July 16, 2018

On July 16, 2018 Heaven opened-up and received our mom, Marie “Topie” Garrett.  She was born November 29, 1941 in Compton, AR. to the late Crannel and Minnie Davidson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Rogers and Ida Shepherd; three brothers, Sonny Davidson, Johnny Davidson and Willie Baughman.

Mom was a western movie buff especially anything with Johnny Wayne.  She also enjoyed painting ceramics .  Topie loved flowers of any kind and loved watching and listening to birds.

She is survived by a son, Roy Garrett and wife, Sherri; three daughters, Trish Richardson and husband, Larry, Mavis Richardson and Becky Garrett; sisters, Renee Sisco, Wanda Smith “Pid” and Sylvia Tilley; brothers, Charles “Buck” Davidson, Danny Davidson, George Davidson and Rex Davidson; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many numerous nieces and nephews.

After a long battle with numerous medical problems, she left this world to be in Heaven.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel with Reverend Bill Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
