Mary Anita Mitchell, 79, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2019.  She was born March 2, 1940 in Blackwell, OK , daughter of W.E. and Mariella Nash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Darla Jean and a brother, Bobby Wayne Nash.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dwight of 58 years; brother, Billie Nash of Blackwell, OK; two children, Stephanie Mitchell Pendergraft and husband, Kendall of Hindsville, AR and Kristi Mitchell Pianalto and husband, James of Fayetteville, AR; and three grandchildren, Megan, Tyler and wife Femi Pendergraft and Gavan Pianalto.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church (Goshen) where she taught Sunday School for many years.  Mary enjoyed many crafts, especially art and painting.  She also loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends and the companionship provided by her dog, Sugar.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, March 18, 2019 at First Southern Baptist Church (Goshen) with Pastors Doug Paschal and Randall Galloway officiating.  Interment will follow at 2 PM at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel for immediate family only.

    I’m sorry for your loss. I remember fondly our first grade at Chikaskia Valley School southeast of Blackwell. There were just three of us that class. Of course, we were classmates all through school. So glad to know she was a blessing to her family.
