Mary Arlene Pitts, 80, of Fayetteville died December 24, 2014 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born February 1, 1934 in the Baldwin Community to Ernest Lee and Ola Inez Oxford Pitts. Arlene was a member of Wiggins United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1954. She retired from the Fayetteville City Hospital as an office clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father, Ezra Lawson.
She is survived by two step-sisters, Lorna Wilson of Springdale; and Linda Kitchens and husband, John of Lawton, OK.; three nephews; one niece; and many cousins.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jody Farrell officiating.

Lorna Wilson, June and I are sorry to hear about your sister. We came to know her through
visits at Harp’s coffee shop. She put up a real good fight, and had a very good attitude through
her struggle. Her fight is over, and the next phase of her life has begun. Hope to see you and
