
Mary Belle Thompson, 86, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Fayetteville. She was born September 8, 1931 in Harrison, AR. to Joe and Laura Miller Dees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Van Thompson; 4 sisters; 1 brother; and a son-in-law, Rickey Langham.
Mary was a member of the Washington Co. Extension Homemakers Club for 30 years. She was a member of the Habberton EHC. Mary was elected Arkansas State V.P. of the EHC and Washington Co. Council. She was chairman of the Adult Canning Division for the Washington Co. Fair for 25 years. Mary retired from the Baldwin Piano Company. She was also a member of University Eastern Star of Fayetteville and Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Sagely; a son, Vance Thompson of Fayetteville; a daughter, Vaneta Langham of Elkins; 3 grandchildren, Phillip Langham, Alecia Reid and husband, Chuck and Coby Langham, all of Elkins; 4 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Langham and Carson, Ethan and Rickey Reid..
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church with Pastors James Goff and Tom Hoover officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

A beautiful loving woman that made each and every day special and loving for every person’s life she touched both in person and long distance.
I wish you Peace and Happiness in your future day Ms Mary. I’m so glad you have found your inner peace.

My condolences on the loss of Mary. I work with her at the fair and at many EHC events. We worked teaching craft classes many times. I always enjoyed it.
