Max was devoted to family. He loved Christmas reunions at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park, and summer picnics at Walker Park. Time spent visiting with family was one of his most favorite things to do.

Max was an avid gardener, his enormous elephant ears and beautiful dahlias were among his favorites.  He also enjoyed playing golf at Razorback Golf Course with family and friends before his health declined.

Max had many friends throughout his life; new, old and life-long. He enjoyed meeting with friends for breakfast at Burger King, Hardees, and McDonalds. Max was blessed with neighbors who were friends of the family for many years.

Max touched the lives of so many in his lifetime, his loss will be felt by all who knew and loved him.

My friend Max you will be missed by everyone who knew you. You was always scaring me, crawling on floor around corners just to see me jump and scream, then just laugh so hard at me and me knowing you was going to do something. I’m glad we got to visit few months ago.
I hope you’ll be golfing in heaven.

Dear Max, as one of my dad’s best friends, you feature prominently in my memories once my dad, Bill Flynn retired and we moved back to Fayettevile. You were always laughing and joking around with dad. I spent one summer babysitting Julie & Jennifer (then called Jo). I know they miss you terribly as does Joyce, but I hope knowing you were such a good husband and father will help comfort them. God bless you and your family and friends.

God Bless you Ms Lisa for your wonderful remembrance to Max. Although I didn’t have the privilege of meeting you in person … I heard many great things about you over the years, within their many visits..
Your dad (Bill) was a wonderful & dedicated life long friend to Max. The bio’s & road stories they could tell were amazing & of course their jokes too!

Thank you both, from all of our family for you’re thoughtful condolences.
You and Linda have been more than neighbors, you’re family! I don’t have enough words to describe the many years of committed friendship you have all shared. The exchange of neighborly favors. Bob’s specialty soups, baked sweet potato’s & Linda’s homemade pies & goodies in it’s self was above and beyond neighbors being neighbors. We so especially thank, appreciate, & love you both for everything you have done throughout Pa Max’s failing health journey. They could always count on Bob & Linda for anything and everything when we were too busy in our schedules to make it over.
Pa Max thought the world of you Bob & yes Linda too!
May God’s Gracious Blessings Always be with you & your family 🙏❤️

I only knew Max for the last 20 years or so. I always remember Max Cutting grass and making sure every home he worked at looked spectacular. I just tried to call Max to wish him a Merry Christmas. If we talked, sports or lawn care or just how he was doing, I always loved our chats. Max will be missed by more people than he ever realized. God speed Max! I’ll miss my old friend.
