My condolences. I can’t remember how long ago you left Cont. Ed. I retired last year after 50 years.

My son, Billy Cunningham, was a friend and classmate of Michael. I was their Cub Scout den mother in their early years at Washington School in Fayetteville. We had their meetings at our house, 170 East Prospect, in Fayetteville. Michael was cute as a bug, always eager to take part in whatever was going on. I remember all of them getting big pieces of cardboard and “skiing” on the dry Bermuda grass in our back yard. Billy (Charlotte, NC) and my other son, Kevin (Charleston, SC), have been informed of Michael’s passing. I’m so sorry for your loss–will always remember Michael. May God bless and keep you. Sincerely, Mildred Cunningham

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Michael was truly one of the “good guys” and I am proud to have counted him as a friend for well over forty years. Please take comfort in knowing that Michael’s earthly suffering is over and he is now an angel of God’s Kingdom looking over us all.

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one. I lost my father last year and something that comforts me is that Jesus promised at John 5:28, 29 that the day is coming when he is going to resurrect all those in the grave. Until then, it is just like they are sleeping. (John 11:11-14) I hope that your family will find comfort in this too.
