Michael Ray Archer, 52, of Rogers, died August 28, 2021 in Rogers. He was born April 7, 1969 in Girard, Kansas to Ray and Betty Davis Archer. With 21 years of dedicated service, he retired as Sergeant First Class with the United States Army serving in Panama, Korea, Kuwait and Iraq. Michael was a loving husband, father and son.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Archer and daughter, Madison Archer, of the home; one son, Brendon Mathews of Centerton; three additional daughters, Jessica Peoples (Landon) of Ft. Smith, Nicki Moore (Micah) of Randolph, TX and  Alex Woods (Joseph) of Honey Grove, TX; his father, Ray Archer of Gretna, VA, mother, Betty and stepfather, Dean Painter of Fayetteville; brother, Rex Archer of Fayetteville; three sisters, Connie Thompson (Billy) of Elmo, TX, Debbie Adams (Phil) of Mt. Joy, PA and Cindy Diaz of New Mexico; one granddaughter, Harper Peoples; niece, Tina Cope (Justin); and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be 1:30 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Shawn Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full military honors.

    We had such a great time getting to know the Archer family. Michael and I got along great and I enjoyed wearing jerseys with him. He was so proud of his Army Jersey. He had so much fun tubing and spending time on the lake with Madison and our two families. I will miss him. My prayers for healing for the family.
