Muriel Janell Slape, affectionately known as “Nanny”, passed away April 8, 2021.
Muriel was born October 1, 1923 in Sikeston, Missouri to EA and Daisy Browning.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ray; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Muriel is survived by her sister, Wanda and her husband, Bill; 3 children, Mickey and wife Shelley, Johnny and wife Debbie and Kay and husband Mike; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great- grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her love of traveling, gardening, sewing, baking and bringing the family together for Sunday dinners.
Muriel last lived at Grand Village and loved the staff that cared for her.
She will be cremated and interred with her husband in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd, Springdale, AR 72762.

I haven’t seen you since I was a kid, but I fondly remember your love of sewing and cooking. What a long, amazing, fulfilling life you had!
