Nancy Alice Shepherd, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Fayetteville. She was born April 17, 1948 in Fayetteville to Charlie Frank and Virginia Lee Littrell Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin Shepherd; a son, James “Charley” Miller; and a sister, Charlotte Woodward.
Nancy was a pawn shop broker for most of her life. She was a member of Living Faith Church in Fayetteville. Nancy enjoyed music concerts and her animals. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Stewart and husband, Danny of Fayetteville; a son, Alvin Shepherd, Jr. of Winslow; 5 grandchildren, Meisha Melton, Stephanie Miller, Kimberly Willingham, Justin Groves and Blake Shepherd; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially family, friends and customers.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Beard’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 10, 2020 at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor Steve Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Comfort Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
