Lizana, Nancy PicNancy “April” Sarah Lizana, 64, of Fayetteville, died June 2, 2015 surrounded by family.  She was born August 14, 1950 in New Orleans, LA. to Joseph Roy and Margarita Wagner Lizana.

She was a business owner and member of the community of Northwest Arkansas for over 40 years.  She loved getting her hands dirty in the garden, springtime driving garden tours, cooking, sewing, making ice-cream sundaes for breakfast with her grandchildren, art deco pottery, music and art. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Cox and husband, Robert of Durham; son, Clay Tramonte and wife, Angie of Elkins; best friend and life partner, Robert Hatfield; and his children, Andrew Hatfield and Carly Patterson; four sisters, Phyllis Gambill of Fayetteville; Karen Kavanaugh of Elm Springs; Gretchen Umberger of League City, TX.; and Claudia Lizana of Sunset, LA.; sister-in-law, Linda Tramonte of Elkins; and grandchildren, Christian, Ashlin, Haven, Anthony, Zoe and Ava.

A celebration of her life will be held at The Restaurant on the Corner (aka The Grill) Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital.

    God Bless you all and may she rest in peace and love. I cannot say enough nice things about this wonderful woman. She was a great friend and mentor to me, I will never forget the kindness she showed me and the great memories I’m blessed to have of her. Here’s to you, April.
