Omer “Booge” Hodges 85, of Winslow passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 . He was born on April 25, 1928 in the Cove Creek Community to Louis Napolen Hodges and Minnie Lee Quinton. One of ten children, he is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a carpenter and farmed until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Carlma “Jeanie” Courtney; three daughters, Donna Sims, Lisa Shepherd and Lora Carothers all of West Fork; two brothers; one sister; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Phil Heppner officiating. Burial will follow at the Blackburn Cemetery. The family would like to request friends to join them for a potluck celebration at the West Fork Community Center following the burial.
