Am saddened to read of the passing of my childhood friend Patsy West Sweetser. She and I were born in Elkins, Arkansas, with my birth coming 6 months later than hers. She got the name that my mother had chosen for me. Patsy was blessed to have wonderful parents (Margaret and Oscar (Dobe), three wonderful children, Joe, Jack, and Mary. I regret that I was unable to attend her visitation or her funeral. May God give rest to her soul.
Always kind, loving and helpful was she. We just today learned of the passing of Dear Patsy. We lived in Elkins a few years and moved to Texas nine years . Ron and I attended Community Church with Patsy. She was always fun and jolly, lifted all spirits around her. I learned much by simply being around her positive attitude and words of gentle wisdom. I have a treasured picture from the day we had a community involved day to show how things were done in the Good
Old Days. Patsy was straddling a crock churn and churning butter to beat the band, smiles and fun.
I know that in Heaven she is helping and smiling. Thank you Patsy, long may your light shine. 🌺
