Kirksey 2Pauline Mildred Kirksey, 91, of Elkins died January 1, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born June 13, 1923 in Madison County, Arkansas to Noble and Emma Dill Scranton. She was a homemaker and a life member of Elkins Church of Christ. She was an avid bowler and was president and secretary of her bowling league. She was also secretary-treasurer of the Whistle Stop Seniors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kirksey.

She is survived by one son, Sheridan Kirksey and wife, Judy of Flippin, AR.; two daughters, Shirley Steele and husband, Troy; and Susan Dearing and husband, Jimmy, all of Elkins; one brother, Warren Scranton of Springfield, MO.; three grandchildren, Krista Thomas and husband, Keri; Jami Kirksey Munson and husband, Chuck; and Kiley Kirksey Auer and husband, Jim; one great- grandchild, Addyson Thomas; five step-grandchildren, Brad Steele; Shelley Steele; Kellie Ledbetter; David Dearing and Brandon Dearing.

Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Jack Harriman officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 1:30 P.M. until service-time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview Street, Fayetteville, AR. 72703.

    So sorry for your loss. We’re unable to attend the funeral and dad is not in a condition to travel these days, but I talked to him this morning and we shared some fond memories of Pauline. As kids we always enjoyed the trips to Arkansas and time spent around aunt Pauline and uncle James. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
