We had so many early morning visits before work. I remember how you talked about Ed, your children, and your grandchildren. They were your joy and you were proud of each and every one of them. Fly high to that mountain Pauline. Your family will remain in my prayers for a healing on their broken hearts. You are missed.

Dear Eddie–Your Pauline was easy to love. I was still at Happy Hollow Elementary when you met Pauline, and I did not know quite what to think about my childhood buddy having a girlfriend. By means of introduction, the two of you took me to the schoolyard to shoot baskets. As it turns out, Pauline was terrible at basketball, but very good at being a Ward. She embraced our family with open arms and open heart. Every time I saw her, she was ready with a smile, a hug, and words of affection (“love you, girl)”. Most importantly, she brought warmth and cheer to our parents every time she visited them. She never failed to be amused by Dad’s pronouncements, and they always got a kick out of each other. How kind she was to them both, and not only after their health declined and they got on in years. Her loss has left us unsteady on our feet, and with a hole in our hearts. Thank you for marrying Pauline and bringing her into our family for 39 years. What a wonderful gift! Our hearts ache today, but our lives were enriched by her presence. I will think of her every time I look at your beautiful children and grandchildren. May God comfort you and hold you close. Love always-Linda

Ed, Ammie and Kendall, please accept my condolences for the passing of your life partner and Mom. Pauline was a force to be reckoned with, but had a heart of gold. My prayer is that you give yourself space and time, be honest with your emotions, don’t grieve alone, and don’t lose hope. I’m a firm believer that someday you will once again be reunited with your wife and Mom. Remember this separation is only temporary. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

There are no words to express how I feel. I come in and look at her office or look up at the printer to wait for her to make a face at me and she isn’t here. Pauline was one of a kind and I considered her my friend. She always knew what to say when I had issues going on with my grown children. She didn’t sugar coat it for me. I will miss her more than I can say. My heart is broken for her family and for everyone that she knew. Sending thoughts and prayers to all the family and friends. Gone but never forgotten. RIP Pauline. 🙁

I just want to take a minute to thank everyone for all your kind words about my momma. She would say all this fuss is not necessary. But lord do me & my family appreciate it. I know my mom was loved & cherished by many & the outpouring of support & condolences is unreal & just shows what a tremendous woman she really was. She truly was amazing, I can only hope to be half the woman she was. My dad is greatful for each & everyone of y’all & is brought to tears with your words. He lost the love of his life & will never feel whole again. This will be a daily struggle but we will get through, one day at a time. We love you & thank you. Thank you so much.

Pauline, I am devastated….I can not believe you have left us. I doubt I will ever truly accept it. I hope you know how much you meant to me. How much I love you. How much I thank you for allowing me into your life. When I married your twin sister Colleen, I didn’t fully know what I was getting. You very quickly made it clear to me. I have been blessed with many memories of you that I will forever hold in my heart. You do not know how much you will be missed. I love you so much. Sleep well.

I cannot believe you are no longer with us. It’s like a bad dream in which I cannot wake. You were a great wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. I am honored and blessed to have known such a loyal, honest, dedicated, compassionate, generous soul. You loved your friends fiercely and made us smile even on days we wanted to cry. Your kindness and support throughout the years will never be replaced or forgotten. Yes your driving scared me and your Indian Outlaw ringtone drove me crazy but I wouldn’t change those memories at all. You always told us you were a Princess and an Angel, we dared not to object…. Now that you have gained your wings, I hope your tiara sparkles as bright as ever! I miss your silliness and your laugh, your support and strength, your love and your spirit. I will miss my best friend dearly, but the friendship we had will never be forgotten. Forever in my heart, until we meet again…. May you enjoy the well-deserved rest my friend. Love you always!

    Dear Ward Family,

I am very sorry about the loss of sweet Pauline. The news was given to me to me today and it is difficult to accept in my mind and heart. I had the joy of working with Pauline and she was the kindest and most compassionate woman, always thinking of others. We shared many conversations each day about her family and Oscar. When I think of Pauline, I picture her sitting in across my desk, smiling through her window.

May she be honored in heaven rest peacefully with the Lord,
