Randy George Sanders, 61, of Springdale passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at his brother and sister-in-laws, home in Springdale.  He was born September 29, 1950 in Fayetteville the son of Bill and Peggy Drinkwater Sanders.

He was a member of the Baptist Faith, served in the United States Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart Award; life member of VFW Post 5925 in Lincoln, Missouri and was known as “Spanky” through the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association 4~6 and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4286 in Lincoln, MO; served ten years with the Topeka Police Department; owned and operated Lakeway Quick Shop of Lincoln, MO for the last twenty years.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle across country with his buddy, Jim Parker of Mulberry.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay of the home; one son, Tim Sturgeon (Kim) of Holton, KS; 4, brothers, Robert Sanders (Joann) of Springdale, Roger Sanders (Carol) of Goodyear, AZ, Ricky Sanders (Joyce) of Fayetteville and Ronnie Sanders, (Aurelie) of Topeka, KS; 1-sister, Jackie Brown of Topeka, KS; 4, grandsons and many nieces and nephews and also his faithful dog, Missy.

The family wishes to thank Circle of Life Hospice and especially, Kristy. A Memorial honoring his life will be later in the spring with burial in Fayetteville National Cemetery.     We didn’t know him all that well, but we did know him. Our thoughts and our preyars are with the whole family. We are sorry for your loss. My God help you through this difficult time. Bless you all. The Hall family and the Foxhuber family.
