Raymond Ray McConnell, 73, of Springdale, died Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was born February 6, 1944 in Japton, AR. to Omer Jesse and Ruby Jewell Williams McConnell.
Ray retired from Levi Strauss.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McConnell; brother, Fay McConnell; and nephew, Jeffery McConnell.
He is survived by brother, Francis Junior McConnell of Russellville, AR; and sister, Helen Smith of Alma; 6 nieces; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Ervin Hutchins officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 noon until service-time.
Prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time. Knew and worked with Ray at Levi Strauss and I considered him a friend. May he Rest In Peace.
I worked with Ray at Levi Strauss & Co. for 20 years. Ray was a good person and I enjoyed talking with him. Ray and his wife lived next door to where my great grandparents home was located. Rest in Peace Ray.
