Richard James Finn, 82, of Tontitown, Arkansas died April 26, 2025 at Circle of Life in Springdale.

He was born August 25, 1942 in Berkeley, California to James Richard and Rose Theresa DallaRosa Finn.

He was in the Navy for diesel and gasoline engine operation repair and maintenance. His active duty was from 8/23/1960 to 8/21/1963, followed by Naval Reserve from 8/22/1963 until his discharge date of 8/22/1966.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown.

He would help his in-laws with the Boston Mountain ice runs and with the milk trucks when they were to be cleaned out. He was a bus boy at Mary Maestri. He was also the Claims Manager at Willis Shaw Express until he retired in December 2007.

He worked the cattle on the farm and all that came with farming.  He would help out his neighbors around him.

He enjoyed his family and friends, camping, hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeler riding.

The last few years he has enjoyed being a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown.

He enjoyed Razorback football, basketball, baseball, and the Lady Backs basketball and softball.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Lea (Skelton) Finn of 41 years, on December 21, 2007.

He is survived by his two daughters Rebecca (Becca)/(Becky) Finn of the home (grandson Bailey Richard Finn of the home), and Regina Finn Adams and husband Sherman (and grandson Samuel of Clinton, AR).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown.

Visitation and rosary will be 9:00 AM until service-time at the church on Friday.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

    RIP Richard… I enjoyed many good years working with Richard at Willis Shaw Express. Richard was like a Blue Jay on a grasshopper. “He was on it”. If a family member, neighbor, friend or co-worker needed anything, then Richard was there. I will always remember his dedication and very caring attitude.
