Robert William Hendrix, 88, of Fayetteville died May 23, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born January 13, 1927 in Lebanon, Indiana to Albert C. and Olive Myrtle Blasingame Hendrix.
Robert was a WWII Navy Veteran. He retired from Lerner Oil Company and later from Campbell Soup. He was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Mae Hendrix; two sons, Donald Earl Hendrix and Gary Lee Hendrix; one daughter, Terry Ellen Villegas; four brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by one son, Robert Hendrix, Jr. of Farmington; three daughters, Frances McKinley of Springdale; Barbara Lynn Barrette of Fayetteville; and Penney Michelle Tapey of Wiggins, CO.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great- grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lester Shadrick officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
I am so sorry for your family’s loss. You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. We love you. GiGi and Grandpa were always so loving and caring towards our family. They were very special good hearted people that will truly be missed here in the Earthly Realm.
