Rule L. Smith 81, of Elkins passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Branson, MO. He was born March 12, 1930 in Yuma, Arizona the son of Ethel Elba Dearmore. He was a member of Revival Tabernacle Church in Springdale, served in the United States Air Force, served as a Missionary in Old Mexico for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Emily Smith of the home; son, Ruland Lyn Smith (Glenda) of Denison, TX and daughter, Damariz Skinkis (David) of Elkins; 1-sister, Valta Chinn of Camarillo, CA, 4-grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday January 6, 2012 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Reverends Perry Cowen and Paul Eden officiating. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5~7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Biblical Missions P.O. Box 54 Elkins, AR 72727.
