Ruth Marie Summer, 75, of Fayetteville died July 17, 2026 in Fayetteville. She was born January 25, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dorsey and Dapholyn Roberts Beeler. She was an artist and enjoyed traveling to Ireland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Mendenhall and sister Margaret Price.
She is survived by two sons, Christian Beeler and spouse Theresa of Topeka, Kansas and Karl Mendenhall and spouse Linda of Shawnee, Kansas; three sisters, Ellen Beeler and spouse Chris Dillon of Fayetteville, Barbara Hensley and spouse Mark of Fort Myers, Florida, and Tracy Morganti and spouse Tony of Independence, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, Cody Beeler, Dustin Beeler, Kayla Beeler, Clare Mendenhall, Lydia Mendenhall, and Ryan Mendenhall; and one great-grandchild Penelope Cole.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Although I never met Ruth, I heard about her over the years through her sister Tracy, and know she will be missed. Sincere condolences to all her family and friends.
