Sammy Boyd Robertson, 90, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 in Fayetteville. She was born August 11, 1927 in Montgomery, AL. to Cecil and Mamie Reeder Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Robertson.
Sammy enjoyed sewing, crocheting and being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Smith and husband, Jay; and two grandchildren, Shelby and Colton Smith.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the funeral home.

Christina, your parents were a delight! I’m saddened and gladdened by their successive deaths. It would have been so hard for your mother to live without Jim. I’ll miss his many stories. I pray God’s peace surrounds you.
I am so sorry that time and distance caused me to miss this notification. Uncle Jim and Aunt Sammy were wonderful to me, and Christina was a sweet and lovely cousin.
